Imagine driving on a long empty road with an alley of greenery on both sides, with rows of lush green trees. Imagine a breeze hitting your soft face. Imagine the fresh, cool air passing through your lungs. An earthy smell of a damp moss and water tree trunks, that your heart is similar with. 

Abbey Falls – A breathtakingly beautiful waterfall located in Coorg. This magnificent vista that stretches out before you, is created when River Kaveri drops from 70 ft over the wide rocks. Although the height is a little compared to other waterfalls in Karnataka, Abbey Falls has a wider fall area revealing nature’s masterpiece in all its glory. The glory of the falls can be witnessed from the Hanging bridge constructed just opposite the falls.

Once you enter the entrance of the Abbey Falls, you need to walk about 200 steps downhill which is 1.5 to 2 km to reach the foot of the waterfalls. A typical visit to the falls takes 2-3 hours of time. Bathing or swimming in Abbey Falls is not allowed.

Road condition and Connectivity:
The roads in Coorg are well-connected but in poor condition.
