Visiting a temple located amidst lush greenery is like stepping into a world where you not only feel the heavenly presence but also feel closer to nature. Omkareshwara Temple is located in the serene landscape of Coorg. The temple, with its rich architectural heritage and spiritual significance, immediately draws the eyes of visitors towards its majestic structure.

Stepping through the entrance, you’re greeted with a linga that has been installed and a copper plate on which the history of the temple has been inscribed. Walking inside the temple, you’ll find a huge water pond/tank with various species of freshwater fish. In the middle of the pond is an architectural marvel, an old Mandapata, which is connected through a walkway. It’s a pleasure for parents with kids to watch their kids get attracted to these small and big fishes in the pond. This peaceful environment makes this temple a must-visit place in Coorg. The temple is well-maintained. You need about an hour to visit and explore this marvelous Omkareshwara Temple in Coorg.

Timing and Entry Fee:

Open all day: 6:30 am to 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
No entry fee to visit the temple. Devotees and visitors can plan their visit based on the pooja schedules performed at Omkareshwara Temple in Coorg.

Girls: Kurta, Salwar, Saree, skirt with top (not too short)
Shorts, Capri pants, and short dresses are not permitted. Some say the temple strictly enforces the dress code.
