The hills of Coorg have been witness to beautiful changes from the very Era of Maharajas. Many kings and British rulers who governed this heavenly place have added to Coorg’s beauty with their unique architectural styles. The place has also encountered much destruction, removal of previous marvels and insertion of their architectural styles. One such architectural heritage is Madikeri Fort.
Madikeri Fort is located in the Heart of the green land of Coorg. This place is like a Time Machine that takes you back to the rich culture of Karnataka, its rulers, and their love for this lush Greenland called Coorg.
Apart from the mesmerizing structure of the building, the Fort also has other attractions inside, including two huge elephant sculptures made of Mortar, which the visitors can witness as they enter the fort.
