“Mini Switzerland of Kashmir” is what it’s called. Baisaran Valley is a beautiful valley located just 5 kilometers from Pahalgam in the Anantnag district.
The journey to Baisaran Valley takes you through winding trails and scenic landscapes, with the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas as your constant companion. As you reach the valley, you’re greeted by sprawling meadows that seem to stretch endlessly, interspersed with clusters of tall pine trees and bordered by majestic snow-capped mountains.
Camping at :
Camping at Baisaran Valley is tricky as one has to trek for about 5 – km from Pahalgam or take a pony ride to reach the valley from Pahalgam. Although the valley is extremely beatuiful, as this is a tourist attraction, the valley is used crowed.
Roads & Connecitivitiy:
Roads connecting to Baisaran valley from Srinagar is breathtaking and the roads are well-maintained. One can either rent a car or share a taxis from Srinagar to Pahalgam. From Pahalgam, one needs to conver a distance of 5-6 Km to reach the valley, which can be done either by walk or take a pony ride.
Shops, Hotels and Restaurants:
There are no hotels in Baisaran valley but if you want a night stay, you can stay in Pahalgam.
