Betaab Valley, named after a famous Bollywood movie – Betaab was originally known as Hagen Valley. Located about 15 Km from Pahalgam, as many other valley in Kashmir, this valley is equally breathtaking and mesmersing. The carped grassland, changing it’s colour as per the seasons, the crystal clear river flowing across the valley,snow-caped moutains surrounding it and the Dense pine forest as the backdrop, makes this valley perfect holiday destination.

Betaab valley serves as the base camp for many trekking points. This valley is quite poplur among Hindu Piligrims as this is the starting point for the Spiritual Amarnath Yatra.

Camping at Betaab Valley:
The valley is primarily a tourist destination, with gated access and fixed visiting hours. You can either book a camping spot through various company ventures at Betaab Valley or go boondocking near the valley (free camping independently). The meadows look amazing during snowfall, making it one of the best places for camping in the snow.

Roads & Connecitivitiy:
The roads connecting Srinagar, Pahalgam, and Betaab Valley are well-maintained and well-connected, making the journey smooth. You can easily reach Betaab Valley via this route, the last 7km strech from pahalgam to betaab vally is slightly bumpy, narrow and steepy. It is advisable to travel in your own vehicle since there is no public transport or shared taxis to this location. If you hire a private cab, you will need to book a new one to travel in and around Betaab Valley, as the original cab can only drop you off at the location.

Shops, Hotels and Restaurants:
Although it is a tourist destination, Betaab Valley has few or sometimes no options for eateries and shops. The main market for Betaab Valley is the Pahalgam market, which provides a variety of goods.
