If there’s heaven anywhere, it must be in Kashmir. The region is so mesmerizing and serene that you will start feeling alive again. Countless valleys and beautiful meadows will undoubtedly take your breath away.
One such meadow is Doodhpathri in Khansahib, Kashmir. This alpine valley, covered with snow-clad mountains and meadows of pine, features the towering Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, enchanting lush green valleys, and shepherds heading to the mountains to rear flocks of sheep and herds of horses. Doodhpathri truly lives up to its name, the ‘Valley of Milk’ in Kashmir, offering an unforgettable experience.
Camping at Doodhpathri:
Doodhpatri offers free camping sites. You can choose to go car camping, overlanding, camping, or boondocking (free camping independently) here. Alternatively, you can book a camping site through one of the many ventures located around Doodhpatri.
It’s a must-visit place for all nature lovers. When you enter Doodhpatri, you are greeted with a view of green carpet-like meadows and mountains. Reaching here in the peak winter months can be challenging due to less connectivity.
You can also camp beside the Shaliganga River, which is more secure with gates and security. However, there might be time restrictions here.
