In winter and Rainy seasons, when water level of the river is usually high, visitors can easily find boats that ferry them to the other side of the river, where the Elephants are camped. During summer, when the water level is low, it’s altogether a different experience, as you have to cross the river on foot to reach the camp. This experience is extremely fun, especially for kids. However, one needs to be cautious about the slippery rocks while crossing the river.

There are many cafes and restaurants just outside of the Dubare entrance, with good quality food and Beverages like tea/coffee. 

Key considerations: 

1. Kids and Elders: are suggested to Avoid this place in summer, as it gets slippery while crossing the river to reach the main camp. 
2. Footwear: Wear quality shoes or boots with proper grip, it helps you cross the river easily. You can leave your footwear behind and cross the river barefoot.
3. Baggage: Carrying light baggage with some extra clothes is suggested
