Kudremukh range hides in itself several hidden treasures. The name – Kudremukh, came as the main peak in this range looks like a Face (Mukha) of the Horse (Kudre). Although this is a popular place, it is still considered to be ‘undiscovered’ by tourists as Kudremukh is considered to be the ultimate paradise for trekkers. In total Kudremukh National Park has around 67 known mountains. The highest peak in this range is Kudremukh Peak which is 1,894 meters above sea level. So it also is known for over 200 species of birds residing or visiting the Range during the migratory season to the forests of Kudremukh.

Trek to Kudremukh Peak is allowed with permission from the forest officials. Although day trekking can be undertaken, camping is NOT allowed. If necessary, hire a guide. All the Hikers must return to the base before sunset.

Timing and Entry Fee:
National Park entry Timings: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (open all days)
Entry Fee (for Indians): ₹200 per person
Entry Fee (for foreigners): ₹ 1000 per person (close to $12 per person)
Trekking Timings: 6:00 am to 5:00 pm
Note: Camping is Not Permitted on National Park grounds, and anyone caught camping will be facing severe consequences.
