Here is a hidden heaven for trekkers in the middle of the Western Ghats. Kumara Parvatha stands tall but hidden like a diamond amidst the thick blanket of lush green forests of Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary.
To see this beautiful valley, one has to trek through Shesha Parvatha. Kumara Parvatha is only visible after crossing this Shesha Parvatha. The glimpse after crossing this point will set your hearts racing and give your mind an actual idea of the adventure you are headed towards. This entire trail is popularly known as the Kumara Parvatha trek.
Trekking Trail:
Kumara Parvatha trek (also known as Pushpagiri Trek) is a two-day long trek, spread across 25-30 km from the base to the Peak Top. This is the most challenging trek in Karnataka. Despite the challenging trail, trekkers call it a Hidden Heaven. Imagine trekking through the dense forest, the thick canopy of tall, dense trees holding the sunlight, and once you cross this trail, you enter into another world of vast carpet of grasslands, and faraway somewhere you can see a waterfall. The trek has lots to offer, and no doubt, there trekkers love this.
Having said that, Kumara Parvatha is not for beginners. This place is highly recommended for experienced and professional trekkers. There are many private trekking and camping ventures whom you can contact for safe and secure camping and trekking.
