Kote Maha Ganapati Temple is situated inside the Madikeri Fort. This beautiful ancient temple has managed to stand tall through the history of Coorg with it being the oldest part of the fort. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha.
The hills of Coorg have been witness to beautiful changes from the very Era of Maharajas. Many kings and British rulers who governed this heavenly place have added to Coorg’s beauty with their unique architectural styles. The place has also encountered much destruction, removal of previous marvels and insertion of their architectural styles.
